Review & Feature,

My Encounter With DiCaPac

What is DICAPAC?

“DICAPAC”, which is a compound word of “DICA (digital camera) and PAC(pack)”, is a new brand of waterproof cases for digital cameras. Also, it feature a unique and incomparable in use. DiCAPac is available with various types of digital cameras and is very easy to Open & Close.

It guarantees admirable waterproof function by simply zipping, rolling, and using Velcro. It can take a high qulity picture through transparent polycarbonate lens. Its window opening & shutting is really simple and easy. User can get excellent waterproof effects and high quality pictures by using the UV coated windows for optical lens.

I got the first ever underwater casing for my Sony Cybershot DSC-W290 in Il Terrazzo, along the busy street of Tomas Morato corner Scout Madrinan, Quezon City. the tower on the background is actually ABS-CBN’s. I stood infront of Vicky Belo’s clinic and her parking space while taking this shot. HAHA. I took this shot as fast as I could because I was thinking that Belo’s car would come anytime–but it didn’t. I was also hoping to take a shot of that Boyscout monument because it became controversial a few years back because bad people were stealing some parts that are made of bronze.

At home, I immediately put the DicaPac to the ultimate test. I got some dry and clean tissues and placed them inside, went to the bathroom, opened the faucet and filled our basin with lots of water. I submerged the Pac for a few minutes, shook pressed it, and submerged some more. After satisfying myself, I went up, got a clean towel and patted it dry.

DicaPac passed with flying colors! The tissues I placed inside were still as dry as new, I’m convinced! I’ll definitely bring this casing to my Coron, Palawan trip in March. I’m so excited to take underwater pictures. The last I heard was Coron was very ideal for snorkelling. 🙂

If you’re interested in buying DicaPac for your camera, you can visit Digital Printing or DiCAPac’s website. These sites have all the things you need to know about this casing.

Or you can visit them at the Upper Ground Floor of Il Terrazzo, #35 Tomas Morato corner Scout Madrinan, Quezon City or call them at (+632) 332-2299. 🙂 I got WP410 for my Sony Cybershot DSC-W290 for P1,350 only ($30).

Underwater photography, here I come! Thanks to DiCaPac. ♥ ♥ ♥
