It is my first time to attend Mommy Mundo’s Expo Kid 4. I initially planned of taking my 8-month-old daughter today at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City, however, I was advised by my mom to just leave her at home. I braved the scourging Manila heat today to personally experience Expo Kid 4. I arrived at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall at about 10:45 AM.
Less than a year ago when I first became a Mommy Mundo Privilege Passport Holder. Even though it is my first time to participate in Expo Kid, (I think) it is already my 4th time to support Mommy Mundo’s events. The first event that I had a chance to go to was the Expo Mom, which happened last May 2011. I was 28 weeks pregnant then.
It has been my habit to list down all the things that I should buy whenever I attend bazaars. This would keep me from impulsive buying.
I’d like to share with you some of the items in my shopping list:
√ 1. Plastic Bib! – My daughter has been eating solids for 2 months now and her eating habit gets messier everyday (especially when she eats ripe mangoes!) I pity some of her stained bibs so I decided to buy some today! Expo Kid doesn’t have many plastic bib sellers. Cloth and statement bibs are everywhere though. 🙂
2. Happy Baby Organic Puffs – I tried to find a concessionaire who carries this item but found none. I think business-minded people should really consider this opportunity of selling baby/children’s foods.
√ 3. Tiny Buds Baby Powder – Success! I got a good deal with their booth. Each Tiny Buds baby powder costs PhP99.00. I got a deal for PhP 279.00 containing 2 baby powders, 1 128ml baby bottle wash & 1 sticky hands baby wipes. Not bad!
√ 4. Cradle Toy & Surface Cleaner – We use this in cleaning Noa’s toys and her High Chair table. Got one minus PhP20.00 off the original price plus some product samples for free.
5. Baby Wipes – Not so many choices. I think I only saw Tiny Buds and Caleb’s Closet selling organic baby wipes. I was hoping to see some other brands like Johnson & Johnson’s, Giggles, Nivea Baby or Nursy.
The one thing I love most about the Expo Kid is the free and overflowing water from Crystal Clear! 🙂
Here are some of the pictures I took while in Expo Kid 4.
My take: Event styling is a little boring, not like the Mommy Mundo events I’m used to attending.
Since I wasn’t able to complete my shopping list, I thought of visiting the Healthy Options store inside the Powerplant Mall. My plan changed after having a yummy dinner with Mommy Liv & Daddy Ayie Emeterio with Baby Jabe in Kenny Roger’s Roasters. My happy feet ended up in Shangri-la Plaza Mall & SM Megamall.
I bought an Earth’s best Apple Juice, Healthy Times Vanilla Biscuits for Teethers and a canister of Happy Baby Puffs (Apple) from Healthy Options.
I also need some baby wipes for Noa and I landed in Rustan’s Supermarket to get Nursy Baby Wipes and a pack of Drypers Wee Wee Dry with a free statement shirt.
I was also able to drop by the SM Megatrade Hall Kids’ Warehouse Sale. My great finds are some hard-sole shoes from Pitterpat for 50% off. I got Noa a pair of red shoes and a pair of gold gladiator sandals.
I also got a nice red 1-piece swimsuit for Noa at 50% off.
Kids’ Warehouse Sale is from March 9-11, 2012 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall from 10:00AM to 9:00PM. The sale is mostly on infant/children’s clothing/apparel.
