Why I Love Being a Mom

“For the hand that rocks the cradle, is the hand that rules the world.” –William Ross Wallace (1819-1881)

Advance Happy Mother’s Day to all the MOMS around the globe!

My name is Glaiza. I first believed in love at first sight when I gave birth to Noa almost 10 months ago. I was 26 years old — a mommy blogger.

Being a mother is something I will always be grateful to God for. I’ve learned a lot more about unselfish love, patience and even excellence. Moms always want the best for their children, don’t we? Also, being a mommy would give you courage to take a step of faith to leave everything behind for their advantage. When you become a mom, you always have to think twice, one for yourself and one for your child.

February, 2012 was when my husband and I mutually decided that I should quit my office job so I can pay more attention to Noa. Believe me; it wasn’t easy for me because all my life I’ve been in the corporate world. Blogging served as a ray of light. For the times that I feel lonely or bored at home, I write on my blog. It has literally become the outlet for every frustration, happiness, loneliness and joy.

I have no regrets giving up my stable career for my family. Of course, as they say, the beginning is always the hardest hurdle to pass through. With my husband’s loving support, I was able to successfully adjust to this milestone.

I love being with my daughter every single time! I love to see her learn some new “tricks” like clapping her hands, doing a flying kiss, sticking her tongue out and waving hi and goodbye. This is something that no employer can pay for. I’m grateful that I was there to witness them all. I won’t exchange it for anything in this world! How about you? πŸ™‚

Being a hands-on-mom, I personally shop for Noa’s stuff. I’ve had my fair share of product buying successes and failures. Through my blog, I can tell it freely to my readers. I try to be as objective as possible whenever I make baby product reviews. I do not recommend any product that we haven’t personally tried.

It gives smile to my face to read the comments, and even receive personal emails from my readers asking about the products I’ve featured. I’m confident to answer their queries because I know exactly where to find the subject product or item, the price and most importantly their quality. I love the fact that I can help my fellow mommy readers! Blogging helped me become a better mom!

I love being a mom especially when I am surrounded by my other mommy-friends. They act as my support group as I take the Mommy Avenue. I am not and will never be a perfect mother. But as a mother, I know I am giving my perfect (complete) love to my family.

Motherhood is a continuous journey and I’m thankful to God for His perfection that is made perfect in my imperfections.

How about you? What do you love most about being a mom? πŸ™‚

Advance happy Mother’s day to you too! I totally agree with you on this. It really is a joy to be hands-on when it comes to our babies. No pay will beat the happiness of seeing their progress.
