Counting My Social Blessings

Tomorrow, my daughter will be turning exactly 10 months and I realized that God has given us tons of blessings this year. As you all know, I quit my office job last January to pay more attention to rearing my daughter. Indeed, when a door closed, a lot more will get opened.

Our first ever not-planned meeting in Oyster Boy, Rockwell because we all attended the Mommy Mundo Bazaar

I thank the Lord for my online support group, the mommies from AMO. This is one of the most unexpected and beautiful blessings I got so far. I’m a geographically single mom so I need a very strong support system including my family in raising Noa.

I’m so happy about these moms who freely shared their own experiences, triumphs and even challenges faced in motherhood. The AMO group is composed of 65 mothers (and growing!) located nationwide. We met each other in an online discussion group (now closed) of Philips Avent Philippines.

I’m very happy being a part of it because we almost stick close like real-life sisters. As you can see, we attend each other baby’s birthday parties. Sometimes, we do some small gatherings like a swimming party by the end of this month.

I am a social media enthusiast; maybe I can blame it to my background in Broadcasting during my college days. I used to dream of working for these huge local networks companies. Most of my classmates in college are now the pioneers of QTV 11 or GMA News TV Channel 11, and I’m really happy to see their names flashed on my screen when TV shows end.

Just yesterday, my Noa and I went to the Head Office of Thermos Philippines to get the most beautiful prize we won so far–an IPAD 2! Our entry was one of the chosen winners (Metro Manila category) for their Thermos Summer Photo Caption Contest.

The Thermos Summer Photo Caption contest is still ongoing! You can still send in your entries or read the full mechanics HERE.

Again, thank you Thermos Philippines for making our Summer 2012 unforgettable! Please like them on Facebook, too! 🙂

Do yourself a favor. Count your blessings today. 🙂 God bless us all!
