Mommy & Me Day with Chicco

Yesterday, May 20, together with Noa, my mom and I celebrated Mother’s Day with Chicco Philippines in partnership with Rustan’s Shangri-la Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City.

The generous Chicco Table of Products and Prizes

Chicco’s Mommy & Me Day started by a little game called, “Bring Me,” where they asked the participants to bring something with the word, “Chicco” in it. I was very lucky at that moment because I had 3 Chicco items within my reach: my daughter’s Chicco stroller, my black Chicco Mommy Bag and my daughter’s Chicco Rainbow Toy Key. We won a prize! πŸ™‚

Nanay Nona freely shares her experiences as a mother and a breastfeeding advocate

It was a day well-spent because it was filled with a very informative talk by none other than Ms. Nona Andaya-Castillo, or simple called, “Nanay Nona” (Mother Nona) in the Philippine Breastfeeding Community. She is a proud affiliate of the International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) and one of the founders of Breastfeeding Philippines.

Nanay Noa also highlighted the importance of developing a greener lifestyle

Since Nanay Nona is a brestfeeding advocate, we benefited a lot from her knowledge and expertise being a lactation consultant. She even taught us some indigenous baby wearing techniques using a Malong–a Muslim piece of clothing used as a tube skirt or dress.

Who says baby wearing is only for moms? πŸ™‚

The Chicco Mommies actively listens to Nanay Nona

Did you notice that there weren’t any kids or babies in this picture? You are right. The children (including my little Noa) were busy playing some Chicco toys in the play area set up by Chicco itself! I find this idea really wonderful because my daughter loves Chicco toys! I bet she had fun playing and also mingling with other babies. Too bad, I wasn’t able to take some photos because I was also busy listening to Nanay Nona. πŸ™‚

Thank you Chicco Philippines for these gifts! πŸ™‚
I love The Happiness Alphabet.

I’d like to thank the beautiful Ms. Anne and the charming Ms. Julie, brand representatives of Chicco Philippines I’ve met along the way for inviting me and my family to this event! I surely had fun and learned a lot from this well-attended event. Thank you for taking time to honor moms like me by organizing events like the Mommy & Me Day. I look forward to your other exciting events for moms and babies alike!

What a great event. Last time I was watching a local show in the Philippines and saw some comercials of formula milk. At the end of the comercial, the usual message of “Breastfeed is still best for babies up to 2 years” to “Breastfeed is still best for babies up to 2 years and beyond” – I thought that was nice that Philippines is getting even more aware of the benefits of extended breastfeeding πŸ™‚
