“What is your favorite website?” This is the question I always ask my online English students whenever they request for free conversation. They were all unanimous in their response — YouTube.
I really find YouTube very beneficial if I miss watching some of my favorite TV shows, or sometimes, I need to watch a particular movie trailer. Indeed, YouTube is almost synonymous to “Google” when it comes to searching for online videos.
I’d like to share with you my daughter’s Top 3 YouTube videos (and in fact already bookmarked) from all my computer-capable devices (desktop, iPhone and iPad, even my husband’s laptop).
Noa’s Top Pick #1 : Alphabet Sounds by Barbara Milne
There’s something about this video that she really enjoys. This video was recommended by my sister who is a licensed kindergarten teacher. I’m happy that Noa likes this video.
Noa’s Top Pick #2 : Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star by Super Simple Learning
Again, I don’t know what’s with this video that calms Noa. When I first watched this video, I got super affected, especially towards the end part where the Owl needs to say goodbye to the Little Star.
Noa’s Top Pick #3 : The Hive by Disney Junior
Noa naturally shakes her body (I translate it to dancing.) whenever she sees this video of Buzz Bee and his family. I think my daughter has a fascination with flying animals, objects or things because at this point, she can already identify that a bird “flies.”
What’s your child’s favorite YouTube videos? You can share away by commenting after this post. Mommies, we should all remember to supervise our children every time they watch something, whether on the TV, video sharing sites (YouTube, etc.) or even movies. 🙂
