My daughter is blowing her first birthday candle in 5 weeks and I never thought that choosing to leave my career for her would give so much joy to my heart.
Being married to someone who works for the military, our situation left me with no choice but to be the sole caregiver of our daughter. I don’t know if you would agree with me when I say that it’s tough to be a mother, but it’s tougher to be an army wife/mother.
Most of the time, you have to be both the mother and the father to your children.I just thank the Lord for the great support system He gave me that I am able to go through each day with great joy and optimism (and of course with the love of my little daughter). Kudos to all military moms out there! You have my utmost respect and admiration! It takes great strength to be one of us!
Just yesterday, I was so happy to discover her version of “jump.” I caught her trying to do 5 sets of tiptoe as she was watching a Super Simple Learning video called “Bingo” on Youtube. My daughter is only 10 and a half months old now.
My daughter’s pediatrician told me last Sunday during our monthly visit to her clinic that Noa’s social and motor skills are advance for her age. She started practice walking as early as 7 months and now that she’s 10, she could stand up on her own for 5 seconds without support. She could already navigate our bedroom and living room on her own with a little support from the wall.
Noa also likes being surrounded by other kids. In fact my husband and I are talking now if we will officially enroll her to Kindermusik or Gymboree Music and Movement Classes when she turns 1.
This is one of my best unexpected joys as a mommy. I’m just so proud of her! My mom said her bones are really strong. I think I should also give credit to breastfeeding. Don’t you think so, too?
On the other hand, I have to admit that as my daughter grows, her number of stuff also grows! This is one surprising fact of raising a child! My husband and I have already discussed this several times and I told him that we need a few organizer for Noa’s stuff. I love attending Mommy bazaars and I found some really good stuff in a brand called 3 Sprouts. I just wish that more moms here in Manila will get to know more about their really nice products for the kids.
I love their storage boxes and bins, hooded towels, and even their caddies! Take a look at these really cute stuff they have! 🙂 Photo credit to 3 Sprouts, thanks a bunch!
I will surely have fun organizing my daughter’s stuff using those uber cute bins, boxes and caddies by 3 Sprouts! It would be a great first birthday present not just to my daughter, but also for me as a mom since it could make my mommy duties lighter! 🙂
I am pushing my luck to be able to try these 3 Sprouts items for my daughter so I’m joining the “3 Sprouts Unexpected Blog” contest.
How about you my dear mommy and daddy readers, what surprises have you recently discovered about your child and parenting? 🙂
