I just came home from my bi-monthly grocery shopping at AFPCES. N needed a couple of things for her stash so I told my father if he could drive us to the nearest commissary. Previously, I wrote about how I love the AFPCES (supermarket inside a military facility) because of the savings it brings to my family. You can read about that in my post called, “Moomy Savings: Run To AFPCES.“
Things have been getting better in my every visit. I must congratulate the hardworking people behind the noticeable improvement in each of the AFPCES I’ve been to.
Why am I posting about this exchange service again? Well, let me show you why.
Forgive the not-so-clear photos since I took it using only my mobile phone. Even though my daughter is not using Playful Baby Diapers, I will run an extra mile to commend this company for honoring the Filipino soldiers and their families.
The signage will speak for itself: For every pack of Playful Baby Diapers, of any size you buy, one peso (piso) will go to a scholarship fund to help send KIA kids to school.
KIA Kids, in my understanding means that they are military children whose father or mother was “killed in action” (KIA) while serving our countrymen in line of duty / deployment. This is the same advocacy of the Hero Foundation which my family also support with our whole heart.
I hope more companies will also consider helping out the KIA Kids and Families in means like this. I may not have the snappiest salute to render but I give you one of the highest salute a mother like me could give.
Thank you very much, Playful Disposable Baby Diapers for this commendable effort of honoring those men and women who are out there, risking their lives and braving the distance, as they maintain our land’s peace and order.
