On June 30, 2013, Nick Jr. Asia organized another fun play date for kids ages 2-5 years old at the Hall 2 of SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.
My daughter likes watching Nick. Jr. TV shows such as Bubble Guppies, The Backyardigans, Team Umizoomi, and Max & Ruby. For this reason, I was very happy to have been personally invited by the organizers to the Nick. Jr. Play Date.I did not think twice even if MOA is quite far from our home and that day was stormy. Good thing that my husband is in town to take us there.
Look at the happy, young crowd of the Nick. Jr. Play Date 2013!
Before heading to the venue, we attended a short get-together over lunch for all the Media & Blogger partners of the Nick. Jr. Play Date. The Nick Jr. Play Date is an event where kids play to learn and parents learn to play! It helps the preschoolers learn the basics such as counting numbers, spelling words and distinguishing shapes and colors.
The Bubble Guppies Fin-tastic City of Colors was one of the stations which my daughter enjoyed. She got addicted to fishing with her Daddy that she kept coming back so many times! Aside from the fun and learning that children experience while visiting each booths, they were given some small gifts such as stickers, pencils, bookmarks, even a toddler toothbrush! 🙂
The children surely had fun fishing in this “mini-pond” with their moms and dads.
Another highlight of our family day at the Nick Jr. Play Date is N’s first bike ride at the Dora the Explorer station.
Before getting into the bike, each participating child was taught about the importance of safety by putting on a helmet, and knee/shoulder pads.
At first, N did not like putting the safety gears on, but I explained to her that if she keeps on refusing to wear them, she would not be allowed to ride the Dora bike.
When we’re about to leave the starting point, she turned frozen. I was laughing inside because she became as hard as a rock and did not want to move. I guess she was a bit nervous.
The Nick. Jr. Play Date also included the performance of Dora the Explorer with Boots, and Dora’s cousin, Diego. Fun games was also hosted almost every hour and the children, win or lose, got to take home prizes from Nickelodeon.
There were also a lot of freebies on that day from their generous sponsors. Our favorite is the Team Umizoomi growth tracker. The Nicksters were also given Happy Kiddie Toothbrush and Toothpaste. There were also booths wherein you could take home instant prizes.
It was indeed a fun family day for all of us and I’m happy that we took Noa to the Nick Jr. Play Date! I’m surely taking her when they host another one next year.
