Disney Frozen Movie 2013

My daughter and I watched Disney’s movie, Frozen, today at the Eastwood Mall Cinema for our usual once a week date together.

Have I told you yet that Eastwood Mall’s Cinema is one of the best movie houses I’ve been to? It is not too crowded and the screen’s really huge, plus the picture and sound quality are both superb! I think watching Frozen here today with N was one of the best decisions I’ve made in terms if our movie-viewing experience.

20131216-001814.jpgDisney has certainly nailed it with coming up with Frozen. They are making a comeback in the animated movie scene if you would ask me. It’s been a long time since I really enjoyed a pure Disney-produced animated film that would push me to rave on here.

Frozen is a very good steer from their signature Disney Princesses characters and the “True Love” theme. Disney managed to hit two birds with one stone in Frozen because they once again added names to their Disney Princesses Hall of Fame: Arendelle Royal siblings Snow Queen Elsa & Princess Anna, and celebrated “true love” in the context of family.

Queen Elsa: “The cold never bothered me anyway.”

If you haven’t seen Frozen yet, I suggest you go out with your family, most especially your children, because this is an animated film that you wouldn’t want to miss.

See, I still couldn’t get over Queen Elsa’s sequence called, “Let It Go.” This is for me one of the best scenes of the entire movie. This sequence showcases Queen Elsa’s dramatic transformation to Snow Queen.  It was really a jaw-dropping moment!

Queen Elsa’s singing voice in “Let It Go” is none other than Idina Menzel, an award-winning Broadway star. She’s also seen in the Broadway Musical, “Wicked,” and her last movie was also with Disney’s “Enchanted”as Nancy Tremaine.

I also have a favorite line in the movie, uttered by Olaf, the Snowman.

Alof the Snowman: “Some people are worth melting for.”

I won’t be saying more about the movie but I strongly recommend you watch Disney Frozen with your kids. It’s a great family date movie! It’s been a long time since an animated movie left me so breathless.  I’m very sure that even adults would appreciate every bit of the movie.

The songs are also lovely.  “For the First Time in Forever,” performed by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel is just so mesmerizing!  I will surely get their DVD and soundtrack album once they are out.

Disney Animated Studio, you certainly nailed it! Congratulations to all the people who worked hard to give the movie fans such a wonderful movie in spite of the popularity of sequels and prequels.

Have you seen Frozen yet? What is your favorite part of the movie? ♥

We really, really want to watch this with our son. But my husband is too busy with work. Hay…my toddler loves Olaf pa naman. His favorite line is “I don’t have a skull…or bones.” Haha! As if he understood what it meant. 🙂

We just did this week from a free video site but my daughters still wanted to see the film when it’s released in DVD. Just too busy to go to the cinema these days. Frozen is fantastic and the lesson of “the act of true love” is very timely for my 2 daughters. Thanks for sharing this:-)
