I was one of the privileged ones to attend its press conference yesterday held at the Satin Room of Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City. As soon as I arrived there and met friends from the mommy blogging world, Ginger Arboleda and Em Alcantara, I couldn’t hide the excitement to discover who this new celebrity ambassador is.
We were served really sumptuous dishes during lunch and I’d also like to commend Seda Hotel for doing such. We couldn’t help but rave on how delicious their food was over lunch.
Seda Hotel’s Superb Pink Salmon and Mashed Potato! 🙂
Shortly after lunch, the program officially started by keynote messages from Insular Life Executives, Mr. Jesus Alfonso Hofilena, EVP & Head of Sales and Marketing, and Ms. Amelita F. Tamayo, FVP & Head of Marketing and Agency Support Division. We were introduced to Insular Life’s Communication Campaign for 2014 tagged as the “Magandang Araw Movement.”

Shortly after their messages, we all held our breath at the conference room because they were about to reveal who the next face of Insular Life is. The moment they said, “World-Class Female Artist,” I only had one name in my mind. It’s got to be Lea Salonga!!
My jaw literally dropped when I saw this flashed on the screen. O-M-G! !!! She’s one of the few local celebrities who I really admire all these years. She’s really gifted, brutally frank but honest and she has given our country so much pride. *Switching Fan Girl Mode ON*
Lea gamely answered all the questions thrown at her by the media during the conference. One question that I’ve also been wanting to ask was if she really believed in getting a life insurance, and I was so glad because somebody from the audience asked her so.
Lea said that yes, she had never viewed obtaining a life insurance as something morbid or whatsoever, but she believed in securing the ones we love in case of the uncertainties life might bring. We don’t know what the future holds so we better be sure that the ones we leave behind has something to start life with all over again.
Insular Life’s “Magandang Araw Movement”
The Magangang Araw (Beautiful Day) Movement aims to spark the virtue of positivism all throughout the country. In Insular Life, they affirm that the path to achieving real happiness starts by looking outside of yourself. In this movement, Filipinos are encouraged to make someone else’s day truly Magandang Araw (beautiful) through capturing good deeds in photos then sharing it with others, and inspiring them to do the same.
Magandang Araw started out as a company greeting for Insular Life and had evolved into a life philosophy. Magandang Araw Movement begins spreading positivism and inspiration on Januart 20, 2014.
It’s now my turn to make your day truly a Magandang Araw, let me share with you this new song entitled, “Magandang Araw” sung by none other that Ms. Lea Salonga. Her renditions never fails to give me goosebumps.
“MAGANDANG ARAW” by Lea Salonga
Pag gising sa umaga iyong nadarama
May bagong galaw
Ang mundo ngayong araw
May ibang liwanag na sumisinag
May ibang ngiti dyan sa’yong labi
Ang langit napaka-bughaw
Isang magandang araw
Kinabukasan ay aking tanaw
Isang magandang araw
Sulitin ang pagkakataon
Huwag hayaang lumipas
Magandang Araw ngayon
Magandang Buhay bukas
Buksan mo ang pintuan
Kung san ka patungo
Iwanan ang kahapon
Heto na ang panahon
Liksihan ang lakad
Tuklasin na ang landas
May buong mundong
Naghihintay lang sa’yo
Lumiko man ang buhay
San ka man nito dalhin
Wag na wag malilito
Wag mong kalimutan
Ang nais mong marating
Magandang Araw ngayon
Magandang Buhay bukas.
This event is one of the many answered family prayers that we got this early for 2014. Now that we are parents, it is really very important that aside from drawing our ultimate life security from the Lord, we have to put feet to our faith and prayerfully consider investing for the people we truly love.
In our case, I couldn’t stand the idea that in case whatever happens to me or my husband, aside from our daughter being one less parent, she would struggle to send herself to school, no food on the table or roofless in times of storm. Of course, I know that there would be people to stand by her, but we still wanted to be there for N by leaving a token of our love until the very end. We strive to be financially-ready for her future.
Insular Life has been serving, educating, enlightening Filipinos about investing in the future for the last 103 years, so it’s best to talk to Insular Life on how you can have a “Magandang Araw” and in return can enjoy and “Magandang Buhay” bukas.
And this has been my own dose of “Magandang Araw” as a fan!
My Magandag Araw Photo with LEA SALONGA!
I just got to have this! Kilig much, please allow this fan mode this time! *winks* ♥
What do you think of Lea Salonga being the new brand ambassador for Insular Life?
