iPad Apps for Toddlers That We Love

Does your child like learning through iPad apps? Today, I will be sharing with you our top iPad apps for toddlers that we love since that last 2 quarters of 2013 to present.

As time passes by, I’ve come to accept the fact that aside from owning mobile phones, a tablet is becoming a very handy ally and a helpful gadget for me as a mom. Why? Because I can download relevant (and most of the time free) apps that are helpful in teaching N about songs, numbers, letters, books, shapes, and many more!

If you’re the type of mom whose kid is into playing and learning in your tablets, this post might interest you.

The Bible App for Kids

Price: FREE | Developer: LifeChurch.TV

It is the newest member of the YouVersion family of apps. It is available now for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Through interactive adventures and beautiful animation, kids explore the big stories of the Bible. It is the beginning of a lifelong love of God’s Word.

See how nice the graphics are? This screenshot talks about the story of Adam & Eve when they sinned against God by disobeying Him through eating the forbidden fruit.

Download The Bible App for Kids now and I highly recommend it so our kids will grow up knowing their Bible stories. Please visit YouVersion’s official website for more details on this app.

 Drawing with Carl

Price: $0.99 | Developer: Tayasui

This is how Drawing with Carl app looks like when you open it. So far, this is app is my most favorite drawing app for toddlers since it’s very easy to use and navigate for kids ages 2 and up.

Drawing with Carl has several digital art and coloring materials that the kids could use. Just take a close look at menu bar at the bottom of the screenshot — it has coloring pencils, pens, crayons, markers, stamps, eraser, etc.

Take a good look at this little scribbling I made to try out the different colorful features and effects of Drawing with Carl.

Best Kids Songs Stories

Price: FREE | Developer: Samsung Publishing Ltd.

Best Kids Songs Stories is one of our personal favorites. You can download songs and story books for free, but if you wish to complete the books, the developer sells it for more dollars. Sometimes, they release additional books and stories that you can download for free, as long as you stay connected in their app.

The Halloween Song and Splashing in the Bath are the ones we got to download for free on top of the existing ones because we always open and play this app.

“The Princess and the Frog” is one of my daughter’s favorite story books in the Best Kids Songs Stories.

Bebop Blox

Price: $1.99 | Developer: Originator Inc.

I call Bebop Blox as the wooden toy of the digital world. Children can solve pieces of wooden puzzles to form shapes, animals, or even transportation.

Wooden puzzle pieces come out of a conveyor for the children to pick out to solve the mystery object.

Once the kids were able to solve the puzzle, they are also introduced to the distinct sound this object or animal is making.

Owl and Pals Preschool Lessons

Price: $0.99 | Developer: Kevin Bradford

Shape Sorting is one of the features that my daughter enjoys the most.

They also have “Pop the Balloon,” wherein the kids will learn how to count in ascending order.

Endless Reader

Price: FREE | Developer: Originator Inc.

Building up our children’s vocabulary is the forte of Endless Reader. The children will learn the many letters of the alphabet, a focus word, and how this word is used in a sentence.

Pepi Bath

Price: $1.99 | Developer: Pepi Play

Pepi Bath is an amazing app to impart to our children the importance of good hygiene and taking care of our body. It also teaches children to practice toilet manners such as flushing the toiler after using it as a courtesy to the next user.

You can choose your own character, a male or a female child at the beginning of the app. See the girl below? The task for children who are playing this app is to clean her grubby hands, cut her long fingernails, comb her hair, brush her teeth, and clean her snoot using a tissue.

I personally screen and download these apps to make sure that they are child-friendly and educational for my daughter. It is very important to supervise our children when they are playing and not leave the teaching to these apps alone.

What educational apps do you love using with your child? Share them away! ♥

I have Drawing with Carl and it was really great. My little girl likes it so much. We also downloaded 123 Color HD and I tell it was all worth the penny. Imagine how much I spent if I’d bought drawing and coloring books.

Baby Bus apps are also great! My daughter loves playing it.

Amazing list mommy 🙂 I wish Ipad will have Barney apps, babies in our family love Barney.

Thanks for sharing these, Glaiza. I’ll be checking to see which ones are available on Android so we can download them too. 🙂 So far, we’ve only tried Best Kids Songs and Stories. Ziggy loves them! 🙂
