Mega Fashion Hall Opens at SM Megamall

“Great Global Brands, together in ONE Place,” that is how I’d sum up the newly opened fabulous wing of SM Megamall called, Mega Fashion Hall. Its opening ceremony happened today, 28th January 2014 at the Upper Ground Floor of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. It is the hottest and newest food, shopping and lifestyle destination in the Metro!

I’m very honored to witness this great milestone for SM Supermalls, especially because they are bringing home great names in the global fashion industry in just ONE Hall! Isn’t that amazing? That includes my personal favorite brand, H&M Philippines! Yes, there’ll now be an H&M store coming our way this mid-year, and it would be located at the Mega Fashion Hall!

The opening of the Mega Fashion Hall started with a word of prayer and blessing, then came the ribbon-cutting, led by none other than SM Supermalls patriarch, Mr. Henry Sy, Sr. He was also joined by Mandaluyong Mayor Ben Abalos and MMDA Chairman Atty. Francis Tolentino.

The guests of today’s opening were served delicious brunch from Bizu Patisserie and desserts by Baked By Anita.

The new Mega Fashion Hall will also be home to the flagship stores of the world’s most popular fashion brands such as Uniqlo and Zara.  Many new global brands will be opening their first store in the Philippines at the new wing, including Denmark’s Vero Moda, Spain’s Pull & Bear and Uno de 50, LA-based Joe’s Jeans, London’s Savile Row and Burton, French shoe brand Nao de Brasil, and U.S. skincare label Philosophy.

The Mega Fashion Hall will also bring closer to home some of the most exciting international dining concepts — Hong Kong’s Michelin-Star dimsum restaurant Tim Ho Wan, the first Saint Marc’s Café of Tokyo, and gyoza specialist Osaka Ohsho.

Good news to all the foodies because specialty restaurants like Abe, artisanal pastries at Chez Karine, and Viking’s Luxury Buffet will also open doors here soon.

The Mega Fashion Hall also prides itself for having the larger than life IMAX Theater, while you can hold private screenings at their Director’s Club with its own butler service.

The Mega Fashion Hall’s design team includes concept designers Arquitectonica, CAZA, and Edge; W.V. Coscolluela and Associates, Architect of Record; DA Abcede & Associates, Project Manager; and New Golden Builders & Development Corp, General Contractor.

Congratulations SM Supermalls for the opening of the Mega Fashion Hall! I’m looking forward to seeing the opening of the rest of the great brand stores  in the coming days!
