Family Attractions,

Kidzania Manila To Open in Global City

UPDATE: As of July 30, 2015: Kidzania Manila will officially open to the public on August 7, 2015 (Friday). Check my post called, The Clueless Parent’s Guide To Visiting Kidzania Manila for the official ticket price, park schedule and more tips! 🙂

It is truly a great news that finally, Kidzania Manila will open soon! In 2013, Dave Johnston in his article for CNN ranked Kidzania #10 to their list of 20 Best Franchises for Travelers. Aside from visiting Disneyland, I think most parents who are familiar with it would want to bring their kids to visit this world-class edutainment center.

What is Kidzania?

According to Wikipedia, Kidzania “is a privately held Mexican company. Kidzania is a Mexican chain of family entertainment centers currently operating in 15 locations allowing children to work in adult jobs and earn currency. KidZania has received more than 31 million guests around the world since its opening, making it one of the fastest growing global edutainment brands in the world.”

Kidzania is basically a theme park with child-sized replica of a real city, including everything in it. I figure out that I could best tell you about Kidzania by sharing photos of it that I’ve gathered from different websites.

Gee, they even have a Kidzania Police Department. Better behave, kids!

My daughter will surely enjoy the supermarket at Kidzania for sure.

Are you getting more excited for the opening of Kidzania? Did you know that Kidzania also has their own currency? It’s called the Kidzos. They use this to buy good and services, play opportunities.

Kidzania already started developing the 6,000 sqm. property inside the Bonifacio Global City that costs a whopping P1 Billion according to the Kidzania official website journal! I am not sure though if it will look or even match the sophistication of Kidzania parks in other countries. Guessing based on the  whole project price tag, hhmmm.. it’s pretty promising and I’m really excited to bring my little girl here.

How Much is the Entrance Ticket to Kidzania Manila?

There hasn’t been an official ticket pricing announcement yet as of writing. However, I expect the park entrance tickets to Kidzania Manila (noting the investment cost) will be quite high. So mommies and daddies, be sure to save up starting today if you plan to visit it soon. Nevertheless, I would still want to visit Kizdania at all cost because I think it will be worth it.

The nearest country we can closely compare prices with would be Malaysia. Again, this ticket price list is UNOFFICIAL because it could be more or less for us here in the Philippines.

According to the Kidzania Malaysia website, kids 0-1 can enter for free. They have a different rate for locals and tourists, I rounded the price off using the current Malaysian Ringgit (RM) – Philippine Peso (PhP) Exchange Rate of 1 RM = P 14.

  • Toddlers (2-3 years old) = RM 35.00 = P475
  • Kid (Local, 4-17 years old) = RM 60 = P815
  • Kid (International / Tourist) = RM 75 = P1,015
  • Adult (Local, 18 – 59 years old) = RM 35 = P475
  • Adult (International / Tourist) = RM 50 = P675
  • Senior Citizens (60 years old up) = RM 30 = P406

If you haven’t gotten enough of this exciting news dose yet, here’s a short Kidzania YouTube video that I came across with. Show it to your kids and see their reaction for yourself. Enjoy watching and I hope to see you all at Kidzania Manila once it opens.

Kidzania Manila could open around November 2014  or early 2015 (according to an insider I’ve spoken with).

Kidzania in Manila! This is exciting and it’s going to be a learning experience for my soon-to-be son. I can’t wait to bring my child to this place (even if I need to wait for more than 5 years haha) where they can learn the value of working hard and have fun at the same time 🙂 Education and entertainment indeed! Thanks for this post, Glaiza 🙂
