What Happened at the Jollibee Family Bee Day?

Last Saturday, my whole family and I were invited to join the Jollibee Family Bee Day at the Quirino Grandstand, Β Manila. This was the first time that Jollibee organized a grand picnic especially to celebrate the togetherness of Filipino families.

When we arrived at the Quirino Grandstand Open Park, we were given our tickets that has 3 different stubs: entrance, food and raffle. Being part of the media, my family and I were provided some complimentary umbrellas and picnic mats on top of the Jollibee red caps that they gave every attendee.

My family’s first stop was the souvenir photo booth with the symbolic Jollibee Bee Day background.

After having our photos taken, I already noticed the many families all over the grassy picnic area while relaxing, taking pictures, eating and laughing. The others were busy watching the onstage performances and participating in the games prepared by Jollibee.

There were also a few kids playing and running after some giant inflatable balls. My daughter actually enjoyed chasing after it, too.

I looked around again and spotted some kids trying to have a groupie with Jollibee.

To entertain the family guests, Jollibee invited some of Manila’s hottest celebrities and performers like the Legaspi Family (who is actually the newest brand BEE-lievers), OPM band Callalily, singer Klarisse de Guzman, and Concert King Martin Nievera.

In case anyone goes hungry, I can say that the food system distribution at the Manila leg was organized. There were a lot of designated food booths to get your Jollibee meal. In our experience, we did not fall in long lines just to get our snacks. Thumbs up for the efficiency and sufficiency of the food that day.

I was also given a chance to meet Jollibee’s newest family endorser: Zoren, Carmina, Cassy and Mavy Legaspi. According to Carmina, their family has long been waiting for Jollibee to ask them to join their circle of BEE-lievers. She also mentioned that her Jollibee commercial (when she was still younger and single) was one of her breaks to enter showbiz. She is very excited to return to her Jollibee family, now with her husband and twins.

Overall, the Jollibee Family Bee Day Grand Picnic Day Manila leg is one, promising (and hopefully yearly) family event that we can all enjoy. My family had fun; and seeing other families come together as one having picnic was such a pleasant sight to see. As a mom blogger, I support Jollibee’s effort in celebrating the togetherness of Filipino families everywhere.

The Jollibee Family Bee Day Grand Picnic Day happened simultaneously all over the Philippines in five (5) venues: Manila, Laguna, Pampanga, Cebu and Davao.
