3 Things I Love About JBL Micro Wireless Speaker

If you want to know how a person is feeling, find out the kind of music he listens to.

Listening to music is one of the activities that rejuvenates me. May it be traveling or before sleeping, I always try to listen to my favorite tune or two to make me feel relaxed. Doing this never fails to bring healing to my soul.

I have my equal share of unpleasant stories in using speakers whenever I open my playlist. Gone are the days of tunog lata, which totally ruins your sound tripping. I am also growing to dislike the speaker cords that easily breaks, forcing you to bury it in your closet and buy a new one.

Then I came across a wireless speaker…. Wait, a-what? WIRELESS? Yes, a portable and wireless speaker from JBL by Harman. I was introduced to it during the official launch of JBL by Harman in the newest and biggest Abenson store in Global City (BGC).

Introducing the JBL® Micro Wireless ultra-portable speaker. With its built-in bass port and compact size, this speaker lets you take great JBL bass any place, and stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth®-equipped device.

The JBL Micro Wireless is the first ultra-portable speaker featuring a Li-ion (lithiumion) rechargeable battery, a built-in bass port and a wireless Bluetooth connection.

Unboxing JBL Micro Wireless

1. JBL Micro Wireless Speaker is PORTABLE.

For a mom of a toddler like me who can’t even leave the house using a small bag, I appreciate that this speaker is reasonably small at 3-1/4″ x 1-9/16″ (83mm x 39mm) so it doesn’t eat up so much space. It is also very light at 127grams! You can bring this anywhere even during family travels and even use it for work during presentations. Mind you, don’t underestimate its size because it is BIG on sound!

The JBL Micro Wireless portable speaker is always ready to connect and play. And when your source device isn’t connected, the built-in 11-13/16-inch (30cm) audio cable stores in the bottom of the speaker case to prevent tangling.

2. JBL Micro Wireless Speaker runs on Bluetooth.

No annoying cords that tie you up when playing your music. All you need to do is to turn on your Bluetooth-equipped mobile phone, tablet or laptop and pair it with its speaker! You don’t need rocket science to set this up since it is super duper easy.

In case you want to add some “macro” to your Micro, the portable speaker can be connected to other JBL Micro Wireless speakers, creating an impressive sound environment. The JBL Micro Wireless has a Daisy-chain capability.

To use your JBL Wireless Micro Speaker, you just need to pair the speaker and your mobile device through a Bluetooth connection.

I specially use the JBL Wireless Micro Speaker whenever I stream using Spotify.

Whenever I write my articles at home for the blog, I am really grateful for the company of JBL Micro Wireless Speaker and Spotify!

3. JBL Micro Wireless Speaker offers up to 5-hours playback time.

The JBL Micro Wireless portable speaker has a built-in Li-ion battery that provides up to five (5) hours of playback time. The battery is easily recharged using a micro USB port, which saves you battery hassles and money.

There is also a clearly visible LED lets you know when the built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery is low, so you know when the JBL Micro Wireless needs charging.

JBL by Harman is available at Abenson

Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance of the JBL Micro Wireless speaker. You can get it for roughly PHP2,200 at your nearest Abenson store. It comes in 6 different colors: black, blue, red, pink, green and white.  I think this is a great gift idea that you cannot go wrong with. Don’t let the compact size fool you. Hearing is believing with JBL Micro Wireless.
