Shopping Finds,

Our Experience Visiting the Scholastic Sizzling Summer Warehouse Sale

If there’s one thing I don’t regret investing on aside from Noa’s education and food, it should be books. I myself grew up loving flipping book pages; and now that I am a mom, I’d like to pass on the same habit to Noa.

For this reason, I instantly said yes to Scholastic Books when they invited me to visit their summer sale back in April. Shortly after the Holy Week, my daughter and I set ourselves to drop by Scholastic’s warehouse in Pasig. We felt lucky because I exactly know where their warehouse is located since I worked in Pasig for almost 4 years.

Noa and I visited on a weekday afternoon so it wasn’t crowded. Imagine my excitement when I saw the Php49 banners. I literally wanted to run and start going through the shelves.

If you’re like me who’s very fond of books, I suggest that you set a budget before you raid the Scholastic Sizzling Summer Sale because it is so, so, so, very tempting to shop ’til you drop. I’m sure our husbands wouldn’t want that. :p

For this visit, I have a goal not to spend NOT more than Php2,000 since we still got a few books left to read at home. I also have some titles and authors in mind to look for.

If you’re a Harry Potter series fan, a paperback copy of your favorite book is being offered with a 40% discount, while a hardbound copy is pegged at 30% off.

Here’s an example of a book sold at Php49.

A section in the sale even has books marked down at 80% off!

Some books are on 25% off. These are the books located inside the warehouse. Take note that these books are all brand new.

Since it’s summer time, expect the warehouse sale venue to be really hot especially inside. You might want to bring a bottle of water and a fan to keep yourself cool.

Without further adieu, here’s my book haul and I spent only about Php1,700 for them. Scholastic Books was generous enough to give me a gift voucher that made my shopping happier for the pocket! 🙂

I am so glad to have stolen great titles from Margaret Wise Brown, Ezra Jack Keats and Karen Katz.

I also got a book for myself for only Php49 — an almost rare Sunday exhibition catalogue of Calvin & Hobbes.

Scholastic Sizzling Warehouse Sale is still ongoing until May 24, 2015! Don’t forget to bring your shopping bags, okay? 🙂

Thank you, Scholastic Books for welcoming us! 🙂

You may visit them at #70 C. Raymundo Avenue, Barangay Rosario, Pasig City. You can also contact Scholastic Books Inc. at +632 900 1537 for inquiries.

Kudos, Scholastic Books for believing that literacy is the birthright of every child! ♥
