Last Thursday, I visited Cinnabon’s newest shop at the Lower Ground Floor of Estacia Mall in Capitol Commons, Pasig City to learn how their newest Mixed Berry Minibons are prepared. It was a challenge accepted since Cinnabon is my favorite go-to snack hub whenever I am at the NAIA 3.

So here I am, finally getting an opportunity to learn how to make not just an ordinary cinnamon roll, but a world-class Cinnabon cinnamon rolls!
Each ingredient is carefully picked and prepared, not to mention how particular they are about the measurement of the dough. This is to make sure to produce cinnamon rolls that are even in sizes. You can say that each product you buy from Cinnabon is a labor of love, handmade. I made about 6 cinnamon rolls from scratch and it took me one hour to finish (the whole process) baking it.
As soon as we reach the ideal length and width of the dough, it’s time to spread the mixture of muscovado sugar and Makara cinnamon.
Pull and Tuck — it’s the skill I properly learned at the Cinnabon Kitchen.
Together with my Cinnabon coach, she taught me how to cut the cinnamon rolls evenly (2.5 inches) in just 2 counts each!
It was an afternoon well-spent at the Cinnabon kitchen! I am truly grateful for the chance they’ve given me to experience how it’s like to make your own cinnamon rolls from scratch. It was no joke using the rolling pin! I felt like I had a free arm workout for that day.
You know, these days I really enjoy seeing how things are done or produced because it makes you more appreciative of their makers. This is what I realized on my way home. For every bite of my favorite Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, I know that effort and dedication also form part of its ingredients.
