MANGO unveils its A/W 2015 Collection at their newest concept store for women and kids in Eastwood City.
I’ve always liked the clothes and accessories of MANGO. When we visited Hong Kong last year, MANGO was one of the stores I stopped by for a little shopping. In case you will be visiting HK soon, there’s a MANGO store in iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui. If my memory serves me right, I did not see any apparel for kids so I wasn’t able to buy something for Noa.
Back to Manila, the only store I know that carries MANGO Kids is the one in Mall of Asia, which is way too far from home. It really made me happy to learn a few weeks ago that another MANGO concept store would be opening doors within my area.
MANGO’s newest multi-concept store grand opening at 1880 Avenue Building, Orchard Road, Eastwood City coincided with the launch of their Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection.
MANGO’s VIP Shopping Night
The very strong rain that day did not stop me from joining MANGO’s VIP Shopping Night. I am so relieved for trusting my instinct to leave home early because it was a chaotic day for Metro Manila. I realized when I reached Eastwood City that most roads were already jammed and flooded.
One thing I like most about this newest MANGO shop is their store size! I love that it’s big enough to house the trendiest clothes for the ‘lil tots. When you shop, you’ll notice that it is divided into 3 sections: Girls, Boys and Baby.
MANGO Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection
For A/W 2015, Boho is certainly back at MANGO. Relive the heady generation of the 70s in richly printed and textured ponchos and capes, luxurious chiffon kaftans, flowing maxi dresses, bell-sleee d blouses, and the ultimate ’70s apparel—flared jeans. This is the decade of fringe, floral patterns, faux fur, and intricate embroidery: infuse these details into your current wardrobe, or simply go boho all the way.
Boho is back and better than ever, as seen in the coveted pieces of MANGO’s all-new ’70s-inspired Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.
MANGO’s A/W 2015 collection also includes key pieces for those who lean more towards the biker chic persuasion. Achieve the cool rocker vibe in leather jackets, tulle mini dresses, skinny trousers with zipper details, checkered shirts, biker boots, and ballet flats with serious edge. Proving a timeless trend, the army inspiration continues to make its presence felt in this collection’s array of fitted suit jackets and handsomely tailored coats in military green and navy blue hues.
The throwback theme is also apparent in MANGO Kids this season. For little girls, high-rise jeans, flared skirts, graphic tees, reversible sleeveless jackets, college blousons, and other apparel with a ’60s influence are on point this A/W 2015.
For little girls, ’60s influence is in!
Meanwhile, boys will be boys in two-tone anoraks, checkered shirts, colored jeans, denim jackets, and casual T-shirts designed with a hip “retro-sport” style.
My Mango Shopping Haul
I did not let this chance slip away without trying on some of the clothes from MANGO Women A/W 2015 Collection. Here’s what I tried on at the dressing room.
I showed my little girl this photo as soon as I reached home and asked her to pick that suites me best. Can you guess what she chose?
Yes, the black & white dress was my top pick! And Noa had the same opinion. Like mother, like daughter! I’m going to wear this on my birthday weekend. And this pink sweater is something that I got for Noa. Will surely share a photo of us together wearing our MANGO pieces.
