Food & Travel,

Spending Halloween at Discovery Suites

Noa and I chose our own adventure this Halloween 2015 by staying at Discovery Suites.

I am very glad to go back to Discovery Suites after five years. If you can still recall, I booked a three-bedroom suite there to use for my wedding day preps. I am glad to be finally coming back with Noa with me. I heard that Discovery Suites is doing some room renovations to make things more comfortable and relaxing for its guests. I am excited to see it for myself since we were booked to stay in a room that is just recently renovated.

Thank you, Discovery Suites for the warmest welcome!

Much to my surprise our room assignment was on the 17th floor. It was also the same floor where we stayed at during my wedding back in 2010!

Noa’s First Time at Discovery Suites

Halloween-themed Cookies

Since my husband wasn’t with us during our staycation at Discovery Suites, we were supposedly joined by my sister. However, it was her Finals Week then so she did not make it. My mom went to the rescue! I know she also needed a break, too!

This was our sleeping station at Discovery Suites. We stayed in a premier Serendipity Junior Suite that has two queen-size beds.

My little Noa has a thing for hotel bath tubs so it was the first thing she checked out as soon as we reached our room. Here’s what the T&B looks like:

Two hours after we’ve checked-in, we joined the Spooky Halloween Adventure Party at Discovery Suites. Noa decided to dress like her old favorite costume, a mermaid. We are so glad to have seen the Zamora Family (Richie, Rina and Rain) also joining the fun.

Discovery Suites’ “A Spooky Halloween Adventure” was a hit! I was surprised to see a lot of families and kids that day. This year’s Halloween Party theme at Discovery Suites was Hotel Transylvania. The buffet snack table was filled with spooky-designed foods, which are perfect for theme.

If you are like my family who is constantly looking for a Halloween adventure every year, spending it at Discovery Suites is worth it. Avail of the Discovery Suites Halloween Promo and treat your family to an adventure that will surely bring all of your closer together.

You can also dine together at Restaurant 5 or Prime 22 to make your stay extra special. I am betting on Prime 22’s Mushroom Soup, Mango Strawberry Iced Tea, Tomahawk Steak and Fried Chicken for kids. The boneless Fried Chicken’s highly addictive! In fact, I am drooling in my head right now as I remember its flavor and crunchiness to every bite! The Cod Fish is also superb!!

If you also have time after visiting Restaurant 5 or Prime 22, you can also bring your kids for a quick dip at the pool or at the Play Area.

At the end of the party, it is a great family bonding idea to get a tub of popcorn and catch up with your favorite animated movies, right at the comfort of your own room living room!

We don’t really celebrate Halloween for the spookiness, fear and darkness it brings. This is the reason why Noa and I mutually agree not to wear scary costumes during this time. We choose to redeem this season for God who is in control of everything and that death is not to be feared for those who are in Him. Halloween is a time to celebrate the living and that God was, is and will ever be victorious over evil.

Spending Halloween with Noa at Discovery Suites is one excellent way to explain this truth to her and to provide quality time for her. As a mom, more than all the festivities, food and toys, what matters most is we are able to let our kids know that we are commissioned by God to guide them to overcome their own fears in life, and that we stand by them even when a dark moment in their life comes.

Thank you so much Discovery Suites for treating us this Halloween 2015! We really had a great time. Please know that your hotel has a special place in our family’s heart. We can’t wait to go back with the man of our house!
